This July issue of CatfishNow is the third issue devoted to ladies in the sport of catfishing. Each year more women enter the sport in various ways. Many have joined husbands and significant other to tournament fish; Some have adopted the sport for the fun and relaxation it provides; Others have entered the supply side of the sport with business offerings aimed at the catfish community.
Regardless of the reasons they adopted the sport, they are welcome and needed. I expect that women will be a significate reason for future growth as they give the sport their stamp of approval and add their ideas to the conversation.
May of 2019 offered the first ever catfish tournament aimed at the ladies. The inaugural tournament, the creation of Melinda Folsom, was a huge hit and is written about more in this issue.
A feature by Anietra Hamper breaks down the science behind some of the things that make men and women different when it comes to catfishing and highlights the takeaways that can benefit both sexes.
The issue includes the normal columns of video tips and catfish basics that are aimed at helping anglers catch more catfish and they all come from women.
As always, I wish to thank the great sponsors that support us. It is because of them that we are able to offer the contents of CFN to our readers free of charge. I hope you will help me thank them by considering their products when you are in the market for catfish supplies.
We are extremely pleased to bring you this month’s collection of catfish related content and ask you to share this issue with your friends, relatives, and other catfish enthusiasts. By doing so you just might help them catch more CatfishNow.
Fish with passion,
